  Online Access: Available to qualified students from the Regional Olympiad.
2021 International Geography Olympiad
       Date: 10 - 16 August, 2021.
       Theme: Bridging the Continents.
Access: Available to qualified students from the 2019 National Olympiad. The event is organized by the Turkish Geographical Society and Istanbul Technical University.

The Geography Olympiad is an annual event where Secondary School students between the age of 16 and 19 years from countries around the world compete and show-case their knowledge and skills in Geography education. Each participating country organizes a regional and a national competition as pre-qualification for the International Geography Olympiad (iGeo).  The Geography Olympiad is organized by the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG) with GIS Konsult Ltd as its implementation/technical partner.

2021 Regional and National Geography Olympiad
1. Secondary Schools are expected to register online. The contest will also be online (estimated 2hr exam)
2. Questions will cover Physical, Human, Regional, Map Reading, Multimedia and Field Work
3. The contest can be done on desktop or smart phone connected to the internet
4. Suggested dates 26th – 30th July 2021
5. The Olympiad will be held in each registered school and only registered schools will receive the exam link. 
6. Each school is expected to present as many students as possible for the competition
7. Only students between the age of 16 and 19 years are eligible in each school.
8. ANG members will visit and supervise the registered schools as guided by the ANG Zonal Representatives.
9. Results will be announced at the ANG National Conference.
10. Performance rating
  a. 3 best performing schools and students in each region will receive online ANG Regional iGeo Badges of Recognition.
  b. 3 best performing schools nationally will be recognized at the ANG National Conference and given the ANG National iGeo Badges of Recognition.
  c. 3 best performing schools nationally will receive N100,000.00, 50,000.00 and 20,000.00
11. 10 best performing schools nationally will qualify to participate in a Boot-Camp in preparation for iGEO 2022.
